True Blue is a 1976 LX 4 door Torana sedan modified to drive and show. Built in 2001, this car is currently undergoing a paint refreshment in time for the 2010 Summernats. The current colour scheme of Ford "Galaxy Blue" & Audi "Champagne" is being basically retained. The engine is a Holden 308, stroked to 355, fuel injected and supercharged. Under low boost, it delivers a modest 258kw to the rear wheels via a TH700 auto. Torque is more impressive at 920 nm. Chassis, brakes suspension are mostly custom crafted with a big input from Race Car Technologies at Batemans Bay. The interior, similarly, is a custom effort utilising Mazda, Ford & Commodore components. True Blue is an evolving tapestry of auto-art.
